Calls For Artists
The Association for Individual Development (AID) has been dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with physical and behavioral disabilities since 1961. AID is a nonprofit, community-based organization that serves over 3,800 individuals (including residents of Plainfield). We assist people at each stage of their lives and we work hard to ensure that our clients live their lives to the fullest. Needless to say, the demand for programs and services consistently exceeds our resources.
On September 26, 2008 AID will host its Annual Benefit Auction, one of its largest and most prestigious fundraising events. I am writing in the hopes that the Plainfield Art League would consider putting out a member alert to see if any of your artists would consider donating a piece of their work for our auction. Donations would be listed in both the well-read program book and at the auction table itself. We could also put out flyers on the art league by the work. Most importantly, you would be helping us to help individuals with diverse disabilities.
Thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me if I can answer any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
