About Artist Gloria Moses

Art became a part of Gloria's life in 2000, after leaving the IT profession as a System Analyst. The journey began with jewelry, metal-smithing and welding classes. In 2005 a need to learn how to draw led to a painting course. This is when she found her obsession, oil painting. Gloria became fascinated with the transparent, brilliant luminous quality of scumbling and glazing of painting, called Technique Mixte, she studied with an extraordinary teacher; and has become a permanent fixture in the studio ever since. Studying in an effort to refine her technical skills has allowed Gloria the opportunity to explore other mediums, work with supportive talented teachers and also along side exceptional artists. The last few years she has been seriously studying direct painting techniques while learning to paint from life and is very excited by the results. Gloria has made many great art friends along the way, and is forever grateful to have started on such an amazing journey.

Our monthly members One Night Show!

theme is "Rhythm"

We're having our "One Night Art Show" during our monthly demo night at Plainfield Library.  This show will be a judged/ribboned, show and will be judged by a fellow PAL member that will be chosen randomly that evening. Each member should bring in one piece for that night's show and "Best of Show", "Best of Theme" ribbons will be given out at the end of the night.  But your piece does not have to be in theme.

Art League meetings and demos are free and open to the public so come join us and bring a friend! For more details or to become a member, visit ,
